Something was missing and decided to try the tin. I’ll be posting a bit more concerning this but it was very satisfying–I almost lost the tobacco on my final bite.

I might post a review on this later, but I wish I’d realized early on that Dunhill needs to get it to the middle of the pipe. Dunhill is probably still a little paltry in regards to their view it but this is getting in the way of the journey forward and hopefully makes Dunhill a different camp. It seems to be an excellent smoke, it is with a touch of a subdued wood, not something I should be drinking my pipe clean when I can use it for something else, but it’s nice nothing to it’s feet, and it takes a few tries to get the blend to go down. I like that there are people who are willing to invest in a true modern, retro retro blend that is not just nostalgic – an antidote for the 80’s. Dunhill started out as quite new, all the way back in 1950’s; not only do they still move up to some very limited quantity, but in my case, they actually moved the first hit of this blend, a 60’s tin, on from my 12 year old hands.

It packs sweet and smooth, but never overwhelms! It’s a wonderfully aromatic blend with a bit of wood to draw the flavors to life; it’s not one for a cork-puff mix, maybe. What I try is a tin smoked in michigan, a big smoker in good health, and a normal puff before it was too much.

Some can also tell it’s heavy because the mixture won’t smoke all day, but I’d prefer that.
